Beginning Handbell Workshops
Handbell ringers, beginners and experienced, make a unique musical and liturgical contribution to St. Columba’s. Ringers learn to take responsibility for their own individual notes and to function within a closely knit team. As part of bell choir rehearsals, music reading and ringing techniques are taught.
For those with no previous exposure to bells, 4-5 week beginning handbell workshops are the perfect opportunity to try out these special instruments in a supportive learning environment.
All ages, 4th grade and up, are invited to learn to ring before supper during fall and winter sessions of Wednesdays at St. C’s.
Schedule: Wednesdays, 5-6 pm,
beginning Sept. 26, 2007 and also beginning Jan. 9, 2008.
