Visiting Lay Eucharistic Ministers (VLEMs)
Visiting lay eucharistic ministers assist the clergy in taking communion to parishioners who are unable to attend services at church. Recruited by the pastoral care team, VLEMs receive training from St. Columba’s clergy. Under the direction of the Pastoral Care team, they bring the consecrated wine and bread to several sick and shut-in parishioners each month. Their ministry is a reminder that sharing the eucharist is the responsibility of the whole church.
