Karen Fitzgerald
Parish Administrator
Karen
oversees the maintenance and use of the church and parish hall and
keeps the church calendar, scheduling all meetings, services and other
events. Whether you’re planning a wedding or a small committee
meeting, you need to call her to get your event on the calendar.
In addition, Karen works with the Building and Grounds Committee to facilitate repair and upkeep of this large complex and oversees the work of our maintenance personnel. She works as staff liaison with the Finance Committee to establish the yearly budget and then, working with our bookkeeper, manages the budget and parish accounts. Karen also represents the staff at vestry meetings and supervises the support staff.
Karen and her family have been members of St. Columba’s since the mid-70s. She began her working affiliation with the church in 1981 as administrative assistant to the director of the nursery school and moved “upstairs” to her present position in 1984.
