Wayne Fowler
Verger
As
verger, Wayne serves as liturgical aide to the clergy. He plans carefully
so that the groups and individuals that come together in worship — acolytes,
clergy, sacristans, choirs and musicians, ministers of healing, chalice
bearers, layreaders, altar guild, flower guild, ushers and congregation — do
so with grace and dignity. He trains and instructs groups involved
with worship and is a resource on liturgical practices of the church.
Wayne has been a member of St. Columba’s since the 70s.
