John Hurd
Associate Director of Music and Organist
A familiar presence in musical Washington for many years, John directs
the Primary Choir, Boy
Choir, Boy Chapel Choir and Gallery
Choir. He teaches privately and is also known for his work as a
jazz and rock keyboard player. John received his first music training
as a child growing up at St. John’s Norwood. He has worked as
assistant at Epiphany Church, developed and directed the music program
at St. Patrick’s, served as Music Director at St. Mary Magdalene,
and has been a part of the music department at Landon School.
