George Timberlake

Rector
A member of St. Columba’s Pastoral Care team, George joined the staff part-time in the summer of 2002. A native of Steubenville, Ohio, he graduated from Kenyon College and went on to seminary at Kenyon’s Bexley Hall. He has served parishes in Ohio, Michigan, Maryland, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. At the bishop’s direction, he began a new mission in Germantown, Maryland in 1979, the Chapel of the Holy Spirit. George brings zeal and delight in visiting to his work for St. Columba’s and is out and about much of the time seeing those who are hospitalized or ill, bringing them the sacrament, prayers for healing and the love and care of the church.
