For the most up-to-date information on scheduled activities, please call the parish office at 202-363-4119. If the automated attendant answers the phone, select option 9.
During periods of inclement weather, a liberal leave policy will be in effect for staff. So, while the parish may be open, individual activities, meetings, etc. may still be cancelled due to a staff member’s inability to get safely to the church. It’s best to call the parish office for current information.
On weekdays, St. Columba’s follows the DC Public Schools. If they are closed, the parish is closed and all activities are cancelled (same for delayed openings). All activities scheduled before the delayed opening time are cancelled. All activities beginning after the delayed opening time will occur as scheduled.
On Sundays, while individual activities (Forum, Sunday School, meetings, etc.) might be canceled, worship services will occur as scheduled (except in very extreme conditions) and parishioners are asked to use their best judgment as to whether they can safely get to church. Call for the most up-to-date operational information.

St. Columba’s is located in Washington, DC at 4201 Albemarle Street NW, one block west of Wisconsin Avenue and just north of the intersection of Wisconsin and Nebraska avenues (Tenley Circle). We are two plus miles north of Washington National Cathedral and approximately one mile south of the Maryland/District line.
To get to St. Columba’s by Metro, take the Red Line to the Tenleytown/AU station. Use the west exit, and head south on Wisconsin Avenue. Turn right onto Albemarle Street and walk one block to the church.
The parish has a parking lot located on Butterworth Place. This lot is reserved for use by church and nursery school staff from Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. Evenings and weekends, parishioners may park in the lot while attending church events.
When parking on the street, please observe the signs that indicate where you may and may not park—and for how long. The city is diligent about writing tickets.
On Sundays, there is an accessible drop-off/pick-up area designated on 42nd Street. We also have three designated handicapped parking spaces in the church lot on Butterworth Place. On Sundays only, accessibility from the parking lot is through the Nursery School entrance on the ground floor. There is an elevator at the end of that hall. The Church Nave has two designated spaces for wheelchair use. An usher can guide you to them.
