St. Columba’s offers a number of formal opportunities for adult formation and spiritual growth.

Sunday Forum (10:15 to 11:05 am)

Join us in the Great Hall on most Sundays during the program year, for presentations that stimulate our imagination about living the Christian life in this community, in today’s changing world. Presentations by the rector and lay leaders are formative for our life as active members of the parish, and we also invite distinguished outside speakers to challenge us on a wide range of current issues. Forums include time for discussion. Click here for upcoming Sunday Forum topics or for past Sunday Forum presentations.

Days of Reflection

Join us at St. C’s on a Saturday in early Advent, and again in Lent, for a day of quiet reflection and prayer. Lasting from 8:30 am to mid-afternoon, these days include several addresses by one of the clergy or a visiting leader, designed to help us pray and enter into the spirit of the season. Silence is maintained in the building so that participants can use this opportunity to focus quietly on the presence and love of God. All are welcome and we encourage you to invite your friends. A simple lunch is provided.

Lent Day of Reflection

Sat., Mar. 11, 8:30 am-3 pm
This quiet day join us as we explore the Heart-Centered path of wisdom that deepens our connection and experience of God in our lives. The Rev. Matthew Wright is a young engaging and compelling retreat leader who lives with his wife at Holy Cross Monastery. He is an Episcopal priest working to renew the Christian Wisdom tradition within a wider interspiritual framework. Alongside his practice of Christianity, he draws deeply from the sacred worlds of Islamic Sufism and Vedanta.

Come for ...

• Thoughtful meditations ... with leader, the Rev. Matthew Wright ... A priest working to renew the Christian Wisdom tradition.

• Time for quiet and renewal ... Bring your journal, your knitting, your crafting or use the adult coloring books available. This is your time to be still and be present.

• Fellowship over lunch ... Share stories over a shared meal!

No need to register ... Lunch is pre-ordered; donations of $15 towards the meal are appreciated.
