We need lots of volunteers before, during or after the sale. Please sign up to help us the week before the sale to unload items collected in the portable storage units (located temporarily on 42nd Street), and sort and price items. We also need help during the event to staff cash registers, sell and serve refreshments or clean up at the sale's end. Daytime and evening hours are available.

During the "New to You" event, the J2A youth will be selling baked goods, pizza and water to raise money for the sale. All parish bakers are invited to contribute to this delicious effort. For details, please email Christine Delaney or Kitty Carnahan.

Set aside new or nearly new items

New or gently used clothes, toys, tools, housewares, sporting goods, furniture, collectibles, books, etc., are all needed! Higher-quality items are also welcome for our "upscale boutique" featuring designer clothing, jewelry and other goods of greater value. Receipts are available for donated goods. See above for drop-off times.

We cannot accept electronics of any kind (except working lamps), car seats (boosters are okay) or cribs. If you would like to donate a large piece of furniture, please take a picture of the item and email it with the price to organizers Courtney Hundley and Elizabeth Rankin ( Pictures will be displayed on a bulletin board during the sale, and buyer and seller can arrange a mutually convenient time for pickup.

Special needs

We are searching for portable storage racks and a megaphone or bullhorn to borrow for the week of the sale.

Please help us make this sale a success!

This is one of the few fundraising and community-building activities identified by the vestry that supports our worship, youth, music and outreach activities. It also gives you an opportunity to connect with other parishioners—those you know and those you haven't met yet! To find out more, contact co-chairs Elizabeth Rankin and Courtney Hundley (
