St. Columba’s "New To You" yard and book sale is our annual fundraising and community-building initiative. Join the fun!

This sale is "cash only," and we encourage you to bring your own bags.
New or gently used clothes, toys, tools, housewares, sporting goods, furniture, collectibles, books, etc., are all needed! Higher-quality items are also welcome for our "upscale boutique" featuring designer clothing, jewelry and other goods of greater value. Receipts are available for donated goods. See above for drop-off times.
We cannot accept electronics of any kind including TV's (working lamps are okay), car seats (boosters are okay) cribs or bedding.
If you would like to donate a large piece of furniture, please take a picture of the item and email it with the price to organizer Courtney Hundley. Pictures will be displayed on a bulletin board during the sale, and buyer and seller can arrange a mutually convenient time for pickup.
Storage PODS will be available for donation drop-offs (near the corner of Albemarle and 42nd Street) beginning Sat., May 6 (10 am-3 pm OR until 2 PODS are full). As you know we do not have storage on site. Once the PODS are filled, WE CANNOT ACCEPT ANY MORE DONATIONS until Sun., May 7, 1-4 pm.

Donations will NO LONGER BE ACCEPTED after 4 pm on Tuesday as we must sort and price items for the sale which begins on Thurs., May 11 at 6 pm.
We need lots of volunteers before, during or after the sale. Please sign up to help us the week before the sale to unload items collected in the portable storage units (located temporarily on 42nd Street), and sort and price items. We also need help during the event to staff cash registers, sell and serve refreshments or clean up at the sale's end. Daytime and evening hours are available.

"Decoration Sunday" in May? For the first time in the history of this event, we will be unloading the PODS and bringing items into the Great Hall and Common on Sun., May 7, immediately following the 11:15 am service. Think of it as Decoration Sunday on steroids! We want New To You to be more of a parish-wide activity. Plan to stay after the services and help as we position donated items in the church. Wear your casual/work clothes to church and come ready to have a good time while you do important work.
Help us make this sale a success! This is one of the few fundraising and community-building activities identified by the vestry that supports our worship, youth, music and outreach activities. It also gives you an opportunity to connect with other parishioners–those you know and those you haven't met yet! To find out more, contact Courtney Hundley at firstname.lastname@example.org.
St. Columba’s mails a printed newsletter to 1400 parishioner homes just prior to the first of the month. An electronic version is also posted online here (in downloadable PDF and online magazine formats). There are 10 issues each year (monthly with the exception of January and August).
Deadlines fall on the 15th of the month previous to publication.
Format: Text and 300 dpi (print resolution) pictures. Articles may run 300-750 words.
