This announcement will serve as official notice of the St. Columba's Episcopal Church Annual Meeting to be held on Sun., Feb. 12 at 10 am in the Church Nave.
The Nominating committee is very pleased to announce the candidates who will be standing for election at the St. Columba's Annual Meeting on Sun., Feb. 12 as either members of the vestry or delegates to the diocesan convention. The candidates are:
• Elizabeth Taylor as Senior Warden
• Steve Smith as Junior Warden
• Alex Acosta
• Chris Luckett
• Elizabeth Pyke (seeking a second term)
• John Sides
• Shelby Tarkenton
• Harry Wood
Four of these six candidates will be elected to a three-year term on the vestry, the body responsible for the stewardship of St. Columba’s money, property, and strategic vision.

• Annette Edwards (Davis) (alternate)
• Suzi Kindervatter
• Barbara Woodall Kragie
• Chris Schumann (alternate)
St. Columba’s five delegates to the annual convention of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington serve a three-year term—the first year as an alternate delegate, followed by two years as a full delegate.
Both vestry and delegate candidates will be wearing name buttons identifying themselves in the coming weeks. You’ll also have an opportunity to see them at the Candidates Forum on Sun., Jan. 29 at 10:15am in the Great Hall. Come say hello and get to know them!

St. Columba’s mails a printed newsletter to 1400 parishioner homes just prior to the first of the month. An electronic version is also posted online here (in downloadable PDF and online magazine formats). There are 10 issues each year (monthly with the exception of January and August).
Deadlines fall on the 15th of the month previous to publication.
Format: Text and 300 dpi (print resolution) pictures. Articles may run 300-750 words.
