St. Columba's Episcopal Church

New Role for the Rev. Jason Cox

Date: July 31, 2017

The Rev. Jason Cox is taking on new responsibilities at St. Columba's, and will be overseeing our worship and outreach ministries.

"It's been a privilege to serve the youth of St. Columba's over the past six years," reflects Jason. "Praying with them, serving with them, laughing and crying with them--all these things have kept my heart open to God's presence and reminded me of the infinite possibilities we all have to make a difference in the world around us. Even though I will no longer formally be the 'Youth Minister,' I have learned that the person with that title can't be effective unless all St. Columbans understand that everyone here is a youth minister. I hope that you will continue to share your gifts, your knowledge, your presence and your time with our youth. I plan to do the same."

Rector Ledlie Laughlin and the Youth Council are currently engaged in a search for a full-time lay person to oversee youth ministry (with a 20% increase in staff time devoted to youth). If you know of someone who would be a good candidate, please forward this job posting to them. We hope to find an experienced and charismatic leader who can maintain the strengths of our youth program and expand our offerings.
