St. Columba's Episcopal Church

April 2017 Newsletter

April Newsletter  The Rev. Ledlie Laughlin opens this issue with an invitation to “come out from behind the pillar.” While some of us are ready for the call of Christ and the call of faith, it’s not a “one size fits all” proposition. For those who are ready, there is a next step to be taken … read on for what those steps might be during Bishop Mariann’s upcoming visit.

As is tradition, we celebrate Earth Day with this April issue and give a special focus on environmental concerns.

Articles include:

- “Flexing our Environmental Resilience” gives a rundown of upcoming Sunday Forums with a special environmental focus;

- “Seeking Spirituality in Nature” introduces us to Beth Norcross and the Center for Spirituality in Nature;

- “St. C’s Zero Waste Guidelines” offers an overview of this important new initiative;

- “What Can We Recycle” gives all the pertinent information needed to engage in our Zero Waste program;

- “St. C’s Columbarium Expansion: Q & A” answers all your questions in regard to this new project.

Plus! other monthly offerings of Calendar, Announcements, Transitions, Vestry Notes and The Columba Diary.
