At St. Columba’s Nursery School, we believe that each child, each family, and each staff member has an infinite capacity to learn and grow. We cultivate their God-given and unique abilities in a joyful atmosphere of supported inquiry, sociability, and inclusion.

The Core Program is our traditional developmentally-based morning or afternoon program. Ideally suited to three and four-year-olds and particularly those new to school. The Core Program provides children with three hours of rich learning and active outdoor play with two experienced classroom teachers in the company of similarly aged friends. For our 3-year-olds, the Core Program is available in both morning and afternoon sessions from 8:30 to 11:30 or from 12:30 to 3:30.
The CorePlus Program includes the traditional morning session but allows your three or four-year-old to stay at school until 2:10 pm in continuation of our Core Program. After lunch in the classroom, your child's classroom teachers will extend your child's engagement in writing, drawing, art, science, storytelling, dramatic play, and building begun in the morning session and plan for extended explorations and themes to further enrich your cild's learning.
The Rest & Play Option extends the CorePlus day until 6:00 pm for children whose parents need a full day of school for their three and four-year-old. Children will rest for a short while and then have free-play on the playground or in the classrooms.
Early Arrival allows families to bring their St. Columba child to school at 7:30 am for an earlier drop-off.
