9:00 AM sunday eucharist in the church
This is our largest gathering on Sundays during the program year, with lots of families with children supporting their Boy and Girl Choir members, who sing here most weeks. A small group of members of the St. Columba Singers sings also. There is a full sermon and the healing rite is offered during communion. Music is energetic and designed to include the younger worshippers. Children ages 3 through second grade leave at the sermon to go to storytime, where there are puppets, dramas, music and activities organized to present the gospel in a way that appeals to them. They return after the peace for the eucharistic prayer and communion. Child care is also available.
The 9 am eucharist does not meet during the summer. Instead there is a Eucharist for preschool children and their families at 9:15 am in the church. The Summer Sunday Eucharist at 10:30 am is the main Sunday service in the summertime.
