Daily Lenten Eucharist
During Lent, the eucharist is offered Monday through Friday (through Wednesday in Holy Week) at 7 am. Like other weekday celebrations of the eucharist, there is no music and the celebrant or a guest lay preacher offers a homily instead of a full sermon. Parishioners often make it a Lenten discipline to come once or twice a week or every day. The experience of that early hour in the church, of beginning ordinary days with word and sacrament in the gradually increasing light as we move toward Easter, presents a wonderful way to grow in faith.
