3 Week Series Title: “The Wisdom of Humility: Learning to Be Creatures by Looking to the Soil.” Over the course of this workshop we will seek to recover what former Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams has called the “lost art of being a creature.” To do so, we will be turning our attention to the ground beneath our feet, the very humus upon which human life is dependent. Ragan Sutterfield is a priest in the Episcopal Church and serves a parish in his native Arkansas. His writing has appeared in a variety of places including The Christian Century, Sojourners, The Oxford American, Plough Online, and The Englewood Review of Books.
