A Year of COVID

March 14, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 11:55 pm

“For everything there is a season … a time to heal … a time to weep … a time to mourn, and a time to laugh … ” (Ecclesiastes 3).

March 14th marks our one year anniversary of worshiping and serving outside of our church property. During this year there has been unimaginable loss. Many of us are personally connected to someone who has died from COVID, but our loss as a community extends also to everything from missed celebrations to a year without hugs from our family and friends. And yet, this year has also marked moments of joy and celebration. And as Spring rapidly approaches there is good reason to hope that we may soon return to a world not defined by “social distancing.”
On March 14th we hope to mark this in between time with three different offerings.
  • Marking a Year of COVID: Prayers for Healing and Hope
A service on zoom lead by the Rev. Dr. Joshua Daniel
    March 14th @ 7:30pm

  • A Community Wall of Prayer
Come write a brief prayer of loss, thanksgiving, or hope on a ribbon and tie it to the railing of the staircase on Albemarle Street in front of the church. This is an offering open to the entire community. The Rev. Amy Molina-Moore will be on site Sunday March 14th from 5-6pm for personal prayer and encouragement.
    March 14th – March 21st
  • A Labyrinth Prayer Walk in the Courtyard
Pray with your body as you walk the ancient path of the Labyrinth.
    March 14th 5pm-6pm
