CONTEMPLATIVE CHAPEL- Wednesdays in Lent
March 9, 2022 @ 7:30 pm
Come to a quiet place for an hour on Wednesday evenings during Lent. Led by the Rev. Ledlie Laughlin, we will practice two forms of silent contemplation – Lectio Divina (or “Holy Reading”) and Centering Prayer. You do not have to have any experience with these contemplative traditions to join in fully. You can participate in person in St. Aidan’s Chapel, or on line via zoom.
When I am most quiet and most myself, God’s grace is clear, and then I see nothing else under the sun. What else is there for us but to be tranquil and at peace in the all- enchanting wonder of God’s mercy to us? It falls upon this paper more quietly than the morning sun, and then I know that all things, without His love, are useless, and in His love, having nothing, I can possess all things.
