The Economic Consequences of the Pandemic: How Can the Government Help Those Most in Need?

December 13—Parishioner Tim Massad will discuss some aspects of the government’s response to the economic consequences of the pandemic. What have been the challenges in helping those on the lower rungs of the income ladder? What impact have the actions to support businesses and financial markets had on those most vulnerable? What lessons did we learn from the 2008 financial crisis about helping those suffering the most?
