Give to our Outreach Ministry

Picture our world as God might see it ...
A world of justice and peace for all people.
A world where there is plenty to go around for all, because our hearts and hands are open to share what we have.
A world transformed by love.

Now help us make that vision come alive ...
At St. Columba’s, our hearts and hands work through at least eight different outreach ministries: feeding the poor, counseling the imprisoned, welcoming the refugees and helping to provide shelter to neighbors in need. We also work in partnership with three other nonprofits doing God’s work in ways that we can’t.

In 2017-18, we will spend $377,093.97 on outreach, and thanks to your generosity, we’re able to fund most of it via your stewardship. But as in years past, we have a $50,000 gap to fill, one previously covered by Fannie Mae grants, a program that ended and Fannie Mae in 2013.

Last year, with help from St. Columba's ...
5  Families stayed in warm, safe housing through Rebuilding Together, Refugee Response and SCAP.
94  Bishop Walker School students reached with literacy programs.
330  St. Columbans engaged in outreach ministries.
600  Homeless individuals supported by the Water Ministry.
6300  Meals served to the hungry by Loaves & Fishes, Grate Patrol and the Water Ministry.
1000’s Individuals served via our partnerships with Friendship Place and Samaritan Ministry of Greater Washington
