Praying our Way to the Election

As we anticipate the upcoming election, I invite you to join me and fellow St. Columbans in prayer. The stakes are high; our hearts are full. Let us offer to God our fears and frustrations, our hopes and dreams. Let us pray for this nation and for the common good.

As the church, may we offer to one another some space for quiet and stillness. A cacophony of voices and opinions fill our lives, clatter for our attention and allegiance. Anticipating that the results may not be clear right away, and that those results may fuel further tension in our nation, I invite you to make room for silence; find intentional ways to center yourself in the love of God.
