Wonder, Joy, and Safety as we celebrate Christmas at St. Columba’s!

Dear Ones,
As many of us reconsider our plans for celebrating Christmas this year, I write to invite you to celebrate with St. Columba’s, and to provide an update of our plans for all to stay safe.
Join us on line ~
The pre-recorded service with music, prayers, scripture, and sermon will be available on our website beginning at 9:00 am on Christmas Eve.
Join us in person for one of six services ~
11:00 am or 4:00 pm – Christmas Eve Pageant Service,
outdoors in the Courtyard, a joyful celebration with children and adults
6:00pm, 8:00pm or 10:30 pm – Christmas Eve Service,
indoors in the Nave with glorious brass, choirs, sermon, and Eucharist
12:00 noon – Christmas Day Service,
indoors in the Nave with sermon and Eucharist
For indoor worship ~
You must be masked at all times while in the building, with a properly fitting mask, per St. Columba’s rules and the Mayor’s mandate. Those who decline to wear a mask will be asked to leave.
We ask all to be vaccinated, boostered if eligible, and get a personal Covid test done before the service, if at all possible.
Since the removal of masks creates the greatest risk, we will celebrate the Holy Eucharist and distribute bread only, which can be consumed safely. (The church has long taught that the sacrament is equally efficacious when either one or both bread and wine are received).
