St. Columba’s welcomes all persons desiring Baptism to receive the sacrament here at St. Columba’s. We are excited to welcome the newly baptized and their family into our community and the Body of Christ!

Baptism is offered on significant Sundays in the Church’s calendar year. It is a joyous celebration where the whole community welcomes and promises to support the newly baptised. During the 2025-2026 program year Baptisms will be offered on the Celebration of All Saints, November 2, 2025; the Baptism of Jesus, January 11, 2026; at the Easter Vigil, Saturday April 4, 2026 at 7pm; on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026 at the 9:15am and 11:15am Wee Worship services only; on Pentecost, May 24, 2026; and on July 12, 2026. Baptism is available at all services, except as noted on Easter Day.

Please complete the registration form at least one month before your preferred date and we will reach out to you to arrange your or your child’s baptism.

We ask that the baptismal candidate, their parents (for children), and their sponsors (Godparents) attend a preparation class and rehearsal. We will arrange the timing and location of this discussion before the date of the baptism. This conversation is a chance for us to learn more about one another and the meanings and symbolism of Baptism.
