SERVE
Columba’s teens work with families to help repair or rebuild their homes, gaining opportunities for worship and reflection on the meaning and impact of their work.In partnership with Grace House, VA, St. Columba’s teens work with families to help repair or rebuild their homes, gaining opportunities for worship and reflection on the meaning and impact of their work. This week-long mission trip is often a capstone event for youth who have been dedicated to the youth program throughout their time at St. Columba’s, as well as a meaningful opportunity for strengthening intergenerational bonds among our parishioners with the adults who serve alongside them.
It takes place the last week of June and is open to rising tenth graders through graduating seniors who are members of St. Columba’s and participate in preparation meetings throughout the winter and spring. Adult parishioners who are interested in being part of the leadership team and spending a week living and worshipping with our youth are also encouraged to contact us.
