Proposing a New Ministry at St. Columba’s

Thank you for your interest in launching a new ministry! We are excited to support parishioners in bringing new ideas, service efforts, and faith-centered initiatives to life within our community.

To help you discern, plan, and submit your proposal, please follow the steps below:

Step 1: Discernment

Before filling out a proposal, review the New Ministry Discernment Tree to evaluate whether your idea aligns with St. Columba’s values, targets an identified community need, and has the necessary parish participation.

Step 2: Submit Your Proposal

Once you’ve confirmed your proposal is ready to proceed, download and complete the proposal form.

Instructions for completing the form:

1. Click the link above to open the form in Google Docs.
2. Go to File > Download > Microsoft Word (.docx) in the top left corner to save a copy to your computer.
3. Fill out all required sections, including ministry info, leadership plan, budget, and facility needs.
4. Email your completed form to parishoffice@columba.org.

Step 3: Track Next Steps

Refer to the New Ministry Checklist for an overview of the approval process, required training (such as Safe Church), and setup steps like scheduling space and setting up communications.
