Beloved Community Fund
St. Columba’s long-standing vision of striving to create a more just and equitable society—to realize the Kingdom of God here and now—and our more recent commitment to become an antiracist church prompts us to create a fund that will encourage and enable St. Columba’s parishioners to establish and foster institutional and individual relationships across racial lines. The purpose of the Fund is to take steps toward repair of the historical and present-day harms caused by the systematic racism experienced by Black people and other marginalized residents in our community, and to establish new partnerships and relationships that advance racial justice and equity.
What is the total amount of available funding? The current total funding commitment is $600,000, which will be deployed over several years, and hopefully will grow.
What is the size of individual grants? The expected range of grants is $50,000 – $100,000, depending on scope of the project and proposed duration.
