Opportunities for Engagement

Engage In Our Community

Columbarium Guild Opportunity

The plan is to create this Guild through volunteers and set up a calendar of dates when the work would be done (estimated to be a few hours every two weeks but, with experience, may be less frequently). Additional dates to do sprucing up just prior to funerals would be added, as needed. Members would sign up to serve for a year and then would select the dates on which they would serve (with always the opportunity to ask to trade dates with other members when conflicts occur). This would be a great activity for teams of parishioners (including Youth Group members), families and those with loved ones interred in the site. Serving only about one time every 3 months is anticipated with a reasonable number of people signing up.

Final landscaping work is about to be completed. We are now asking Individuals and families to sign up to participate. We will hold an informational tour of the site so those potentially interested could better understand what is involved and ask any questions.

Stream Team: Worship Production

Help us share St. Columba's love with the world.

Yes, the doors are now open, but we have an online community to feed as well. St. C's is seeking individuals who will learn the production equipment for live streaming Sunday Service, managing the sound system during courtyard worship, taking photographs, as well as producing other St.Columba's inspired content.

Afghan Refugee Response 2021

The Refugee Response Ministry (RRM) is looking at possible options for compassionate, intentional engagement in the crisis surrounding our Afghan brothers and sisters, including possibly working with the diocese in some capacity.

In the meantime, we are finalizing logistics for putting together "Welcome Home" boxes in connection with Lutheran Social Services to help families set up their new home. Please listen for more details coming out from the RRM soon.

For more information or to get involved, click the link below and someone from RRM will reach out with more information as soon as its available.

Lasting Impact

Words can't express how much I enjoy volunteering for Housing Up's After-School Program with St. Columba's. It is such a beautiful opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus to a sweet, special child of God. It is such a blessing to touch a life, but my student has touched my life too. I love signing onto Zoom every week to see an improvement in my student's academic skills and confidence and share a smile and laugh that will stay with me for the rest of the week.

Take Care,

Jessica Zaluzec

The opposite of faith is not doubt, but certainty. ~ Anne Lamott

Joining a church doesn’t mean you don’t have big questions or doubts. Deciding to be part of a loving community of faith means you’re open to exploring and wrestling with those big questions and doubts. Most people here did not grow up in The Episcopal Church. Some have never been a member of any church. Many have a background in a different church or faith tradition. At St. Columba’s, there will be many opportunities to learn, ask questions, and get to know other pilgrims along the way. Our deepest hope is that everyone who steps through our doors knows they belong here.

Pledge Give Now Stock, IRA, Donor Advised & Planned Giving Member Log-in Easter Offering

A pledge is a promise - a promise to give a certain amount over the course of the following year. We don’t expect you to fulfill your pledge in one lump gift. Many find they can give more when pledging and then giving incrementally over the course of the year.

Pledging before the start of each calendar year is critical for clergy and staff to develop an annual budget and plan to serve you and our wider community.

Pledge Brochure & Video FAQs

Why Give? God asks us to share our time, talent and treasure. A life of generosity is at the root of Christianity. The Bible encourages the tithe – or 10% of your annual income – and we encourage you to think about what a meaningful gift would be for you.

When you give to St. Columba’s you help fund our ministry in the community, our worship, and the staff that supports our community as we strive to Live God’s Love.

Our mission is funded by you – St. Columbans and other supporters.

Give Now

St. Columba’s is grateful for your generosity. We accepts gifts in the form of cash, checks, appreciated stocks, Charitable IRA Rollovers, Donor Advised Gifts, and matching gifts. If you would like to include us in your end-of-life charitable gift plans, we accept bequests, life income gifts, and gifts of special assets (real estate, closely held stock, life insurance).
