St. Columba’s is blessed to be a dynamic community, living God’s love together. It’s inspiring to see the ways our parishioners, clergy, staff, and lay leaders have embraced the call to bring God’s love to the world. When we launched our new strategic plan last fall, none of us envisioned the massive disruption of a global pandemic that was just around the corner. Yet, even as we’ve necessarily maintained our physical distance, St. Columba’s is in many ways more tightly knit than ever before. With grace and ingenuity, this community has adapted to our current circumstances, risen to the challenge of serving God in new ways to help those most in need, and made investments in both internal capabilities and external partnerships that will help amplify our impact for years to come.
We recognize that we are living in extraordinary times. The COVID-19 pandemic and its economic fallout mean some are unable to give as they might like, even as the needs in our community are greater than ever. For that reason, after several years of significant increases in pledges, we’ve budgeted no increase this year. Pledges account for 78% of the revenue in our budget, and we ask that you be as generous as you are able. Last year 610 households pledged an average of just under $3,900 each. Your continued generosity in fulfilling those pledges has allowed St. Columba’s to respond to changing needs, and your support is essential to sustaining our ministries, paying our staff and clergy, and maintaining our building. Your pledge ensures that St. Columba's remains a vibrant community and a light to the world in a difficult time.
As an active member of St. Columba's, you are already living generously. We thank you for pledging generously, too!
